Other Information: Do not store above 77 degrees F (25 degrees C). Misc: Pectin oral demulcent. Trusted since 1847. Soothes sore throats. These delicious-tasting wild cherry throat drops have been specifically crafted to provide soothing relief for sore throats. It all started on one particularly cold, bitter winter's day in 1847 in the windswept Hudson Valley. Sly Hawkins, a travelling peddler, walked into the James Smith & Sons Sweet Shop with his secret formula for cough relief. After purchasing the formula, and much stirring, mixing, and tinkering, William and Andrew Smith added some delicious flavors from the sweet shop's inventory, and the first American cough drop was born! To this very day, Smith brothers continues to be one of the world's most beloved cough remedies, and the trademark continues to stand for legendary pioneering in over-the-counter family wellness.
